If treatment is indicated, your physician and care team support you every month or every three months, with follow-up reviews, adjustments as needed and, if necessary, medication.

gynxtra is a physician‑led virtual clinic for women in midlife. Your physician puts your symptoms into context and discusses with you whether diagnostics, hormone therapy or medical weight management might be an option for you. Consultations take place by video, with no waiting room. Swiss law and medical confidentiality apply.
Who is gynxtra suitable for?
gynxtra is for women aged 38 to 65 in perimenopause, menopause or postmenopause, with symptoms such as sleep problems, hot flushes, weight gain or brain fog. You can also use the medical consultation to review and optimise a hormone therapy you are already taking.
What exactly happens in the medical consultation?
Ahead of your consultation, you complete your medical history at your own pace and upload any existing results to your patient area. Your physician reviews both before you speak. On the video call, she puts your situation into context, and together you discuss whether diagnostics would clarify anything and whether treatment could be an option. Nothing is prescribed without her medical judgement. After the consultation you receive your report with treatment plan in writing in your patient area.
Can I ask questions before my appointment?
Yes. Until your appointment, you can reach your care team at hello@gynxtra.ch, and once you are in physician‑led care, also via “Messages” in your patient area. You will usually get an answer within 24 hours. You discuss medical questions with your physician in your consultation, or in Messages during ongoing care, not by email. If something cannot wait until your appointment, have it examined promptly by a doctor in person. These channels are not for emergencies: call 144 or go to your nearest accident and emergency department.
Is the medical consultation a diagnosis?
Your physician puts your symptoms into context using your medical history and any existing results. During the consultation she discusses with you whether a diagnosis is possible or whether further assessment is needed, such as laboratory diagnostics or a specialised examination.
Does the medical consultation replace my annual check‑up?
No. Your consultation takes place by video, without a physical examination. Your regular gynaecological check‑up in person, such as cervical screening or a breast examination, continues as recommended.
Will I automatically be prescribed hormones after the medical consultation?
Not automatically. Your physician recommends treatment only where it is medically indicated. Some patients benefit from lifestyle changes or other measures.
Does my health insurance cover the cost?
gynxtra services are self-pay services. gynxtra does not bill health insurers, and reimbursement through basic insurance is not provided for. Medication your physician prescribes is also paid for by you. The prices for the medical consultation and ongoing care are fixed in advance. Your physician tells you about any further cost before you decide.
