Four steps to your plan

From your first consultation to a plan you can follow

The Fit Check takes two minutes and tells you whether gynxtra suits you. From there you choose an appointment. Everything else begins with the consultation itself: your specialist works out what has changed, and suggests tests only where they will actually shape what happens next.

01Initial consultation

After the Fit Check you pick your slot. You fill in the medical history questionnaire in your own time, then meet your specialist 1:1 by video. She places what you are experiencing in context and tells you what she recommends.

02Targeted diagnostics

Only where it settles something for your treatment plan. Recent results you already have are taken into account.

03Results consultation

You go through your results in a video consultation of its own, and leave with a treatment plan written for you.

04Treatment

If treatment is indicated, your doctor stays with you: regular reviews, and adjustments when your treatment needs them.

Treatment areas

Midlife is a medical subject. We treat it like one.

Whether treatment is the right step is decided after the medical assessment, not before it. If it is, you get a therapy chosen for you and regular reviews with your doctor.

Hormone therapy and balance

Hormone replacement therapy, set up around you

For women in perimenopause or menopause who want their hormones looked after by a doctor.

Medical weight management

When your metabolism is not what it was

For women in midlife who are putting on weight, notice their appetite has changed, or whose metabolism is behaving differently.

Any treatment is recommended on the basis of your initial consultation and a medical assessment. Not every therapy is right for every patient.
Why gynxtra

Your care continues between appointments.

Once you are in ongoing care, your treatment plan, your appointments and your results sit together in the patient area. It is also where you can ask your medical team a question.

01Physician-led careYour physician assesses your situation and agrees the next steps with you.
02In touch between appointmentsThe patient area is where you send your medical team a question between consultations.
03Your treatment planThe appointments and follow-ups you have agreed, in one view. Adjustments are made on medical assessment.
04History at a glanceSymptoms and existing results help your physician see how your treatment is developing.

Your medical assessment

The initial consultation is there to make your next medical step clear. Where it is indicated, targeted diagnostics fill in what a conversation cannot. And once treatment begins, a doctor stays with it.

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

The questions that come up most often before a first consultation. Anything beyond these, you can put to your specialist directly.

All questions and answers
Who is gynxtra for?

gynxtra is for women between 38 and 65 living with perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms: broken sleep, hot flushes, weight gain, brain fog. The Fit Check takes two minutes and tells you whether that includes you.

What actually happens in the initial consultation?

Beforehand, you fill in a medical history questionnaire in your own time. In the 1:1 video consultation your specialist goes through your situation with you, places it in context, and says whether diagnostics would help and which ones. If you already have results from elsewhere, you look at them together there and then.

Will my health insurance cover this?

gynxtra services are self-pay services. gynxtra does not bill health insurers, and reimbursement through basic insurance is not available. Medication prescribed by your physician is also self-pay. What you do get is every price in advance.

When are diagnostics worth doing?

When further assessment would help, your doctor recommends targeted diagnostics. Recent results you already have are taken into account.

Will I automatically be prescribed hormones after the initial consultation?

No, nothing is automatic. Your doctor recommends a therapy only where it is medically indicated. For some patients, changes to lifestyle or other measures are the better answer. Your health and your safety come first.

What if I am already on hormones?

The initial consultation is also the right place to review an existing hormone therapy and refine it. Please note in the questionnaire which preparations you are currently taking.

Is medication included in the price?

No. Medication, and any further laboratory work, is billed separately. Neither is part of the price of your care.
